Network simulator (ns-3) is a reputed simulation platform for performance evaluation of cellular networks. In this work, we explore the use ns-3 tracking successful handovers (HO) and handover failures consequent impact on 4G LTE network throughput with aim discovering new analytical relations about HOs methods to optimize resulting throughput. Decreased cell sizes in newer generation networks lead increasing number that have significant impact. We begin by reviewing models literature predict HO terms control parameters. initially conduct suite exhaustive validation studies such models, based execution manager (SEM) parallelization. Via this, discover causal relating choice parameters Based these initial results, next evaluate application Gaussian process regression prediction instantaneous bandit algorithms as an effective mechanism over time. The discovered help better understand input allowing us fine tune them. optimization give good gains baseline accurately respectively.
